In collaboration with The UnSpace, a community focused arts and education gallery space located on 147 Front Street (minutes from the F York Street Station, on the corner of Front and Jay st), I will be coordinating an open call for practicing Teaching Artists to participate in a one week  exhibition in DUMBO that will reframe what it means to be a practicing artist and educator.

This is a great opportunity for fellow teaching artists interested in the intersection of community, accessibility and art to connect with a community of likeminded creators to celebrate their work, both in the studio and in the classroom. The application is free and open to ALL art forms. Only applicants working as teaching artists, teaching artists assistants or administrators at an arts education organization will be considered. Please feel free to stretch the boundaries of this application in any way you see fit— I will consider event proposals, performances, screenings, readings, workshops, curatorial proposals and collaborative projects in addition to physical art works. These is no limit on size or medium. As the organization works with children, there is also the option to invite students into the space as part of the exhibition.

To enter this call for submission, please answer the following prompts prior to the March 18th deadline. After reviewing your application, I will reach out to request a work sample (PDF) via email.
